Position: Security Officer, Full-Time
Rate of Pay: $11.00 per hour
Supervisor: Jim Urness, Security Manager


Responsibilities:
· Provide general patrol of interior and perimeter of Fond-du-Luth Casino.
· Provides first aid as needed to customers and/or employees.
· Protects Casino assets.
· Report all incidents and conditions requiring correction.
· Responsible for notification of appropriate emergency agencies in the event of an emergency.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Completion of an approved, accredited law enforcement training program is desired.
· Skill in observation, assessment and management of Casino employees and patrons.
· A strong understanding and knowledge of the laws of the United States and State of
Minnesota
· Incumbent is subject to bonding, security checks, and other pre-employment screening
requirements
· Subjected to drug testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Employee Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged standing and walking required.
· Subject to indoor and outside environmental conditions. Ability and willingness to work in a smoking environment.

COOK/STEAKHOUSE

 

Position Responsibilities:

Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuff for consumption in restaurant. Reads menus to estimate food requirements and ensures adequate food supplies are available. Orders supplies and keeps records and accurate accounts of inventory. Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blenders, mixes, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers, to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, casseroles, etc. Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking, according to personal judgment and experience. Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked. Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes to fill orders. Washes, peels, cuts and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them prior to cooking. Cuts, trims and bones meat prior to cooking. Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry, etc. May be required to work as a food preparer and sales person in Deli. May be required to work in the Buffet. Observe guests and respond to any additional requests. Monitors hot and cold food temperatures through the shift. Assists in menu preparation. Direct the activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals. Recognize that employees have certain personal responsibilities which affect the operational efficiency of the casino. Maintain proper attendance in accordance with casino policy. Report to work on time in accordance with casino policy. Provide adequate notice to supervisor prior to absence or lateness in accordance with casino policy. Recognize that each employee is a representative of the casino, and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of every person (visitors, co-workers). May be required to work with money. Due to changes and modifications in your job from time to time, we require employees to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as management sees the necessity. Some assignments may not be listed in this description at this time.

 

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged walking and standing is required. Bending, stooping, and lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds is required. All employees shall thoroughly wash hands and arms with soap and water before starting work and wash hands during work hours as often as may be required to remove soil and contamination as well as after visiting the washroom. Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.

 

Position Requirements:

Demonstrated experience as a cook; or associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a cooking program; or a combination of related experience and education is required. Knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation standards for food serving is required. Ability to communicate effectively is required. Knowledge of personal cleanliness standards and ability to conform to good hygienic practices is required. Strong customer service skills are required. Mathematical ability is required. Skill in menu planning and volume food preparation is required. Knowledge of cost and funding control procedures and skill in the maintenance and control of expenditures to ensure limitations are observed is desired. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Incumbent is subject to bonding, security checks, and other pre-employment screening requirements.

 

HOURS: Shift Work. Shift to be determined at time of hire.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promptly greet all Guest as they arrive at the Hotel. Promptly assist each guest with luggage services during their stay. Perform luggage handling for group tour busses. Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, Bell Staff areas, Front Entrance and sidewalks. Have complete knowledge of Black Bear Casino and Resort Services and amenities.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged walking and standing is required. Subject to inside and outside environmental condition. Must have the ability to engage Guests while maintaining a high level of Customer Service at all times. Must have ability to work with others in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively orally and writing is required. Subject to pre-employment and annual background check. Position Responsibilities:

    * Act as supervisor of employees in the absence of the Dental Coordinator.
    * Maintain and operate an eight operatory dental clinic.
    * Practice by current infection control standards.
    * Follow occupational safety guidelines for dental office personnel.
    * Provide care in the following areas: prevention, operative, prosthetics, endodontics, oral surgery, TMJ, and periodontics and pedodontics, and minor orthodontics.
    * Network services with other health and social services providers.
    * Consult and refer with dental specialist.
    * Assist in coordinating prevention activities.
    * Assist in selecting dental supplies and equipment.
    * Attend general staff meetings, dental staff meetings, and other meetings as requested.
    * Participate in Quality Improvement activities.
    * Attend continuing education seminars as requested.
    * Assist in providing in-services to dental staff and also to target groups such as the diabetic support group, WIC, elderly housing residents, and Head Start.
    * Approve employee leave and time cards in the absence of the Dental Coordinator.
    * Participate on screening committee for new dental employees and provide input on staff evaluations.
    * Acquire and maintain CPR certification.
    * Request pre-determinations, review and sign insurance forms.
    * Abide by the policies set forth by the FDL Reservation and Min No Aya Win Human Services Center.
    * Displays a responsive and professional manner in solving all requests, complaints, and problems.
    * Maintains a clean and organized work area.
    * Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
